ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco – cachora- rosalina.
Trip in a 4 wheel drive van from Cusco 
passing by the towns of
Izcuchaca, Limatambo ( arqueological monument of Tarawasi).
Bridge of Kunyac, the "Saywiti Pass" , then we get
in and have breakfast in Cachora, after the breakfast we begin
to climb up to big Wayna Qalli (observatory) where we can
appreciate a part of the arqueological ruins of Choquek’irao,
also an awesome view of the snow capped mountains of
Vilcabamba, then we go down to Capuliyuc (lunch), Cuca Masana
where the flora and fauna starts to change, still arrive to
the Beach Rosalina place of our campsite and dinner.
Day 2: rosalina – santa rosa- marampampa
– choquequirao. Alter
the breakfast we go to Santa Rosa ( distillery of alcohol of
local sugar cane), this day is considered like th
e
hardest because the height of our way through the mountains in
the cusquenian side with direction to Marampata you can look
Orchids and Violets, if we are lucky we could appreciate fauna
like deer, ant bears and a diversity of birds and insects,
after the lunch and a few minutes of resting in Marampata, we
continue with direction to Raqaypata where you can appreciate
an infinity of Orchids most of them are appreciated in the
banks of the river Chunchullmayo, after like an hour of
walking we will arrive to Choquequirao where we will camp and
we could visit the arqueological ruins in its 8 sectors :
between farms, qolqas, recints, adoratories and andenes.
Day 3: choquequirao – santa rosa –
chiquisaca. Alter the breakfast we will have a little time
to visit for last time the ruins, to then go down by the same
route to Santa Rosa, place where we will have lunch and we
will continue to Chiquisca where we will camp and have dinner.
Day 4: Chiquisaca – capuliyuc – wayna
qalli – cachora – cusco. The
fourth and last day of adventure starts in Chiquisca, after
the breakfast we will go up to the big observatory of Wayna
Qalli where we will get lunch and where we can appreciate the
canyon that formers the Apurímac river, considered the most
spectacular in south America. Arriving to Cachora where a car
is waiting for us, this car will take us to Cusco and we will
have dinner in Cusco.
NOTA:
if you like a trip , most slow whit long walk more short
appropriates for looking better the landscape is possible to
make in 5 day an 4 night. More
